At Cloudways, our mission has always been to simplify the cloud for web professionals and SMBs around the world, and often that includes many small improvements on our platform that can save lots of time from day-to-day operations. This update is the first of a series designed to simplify domain management for our customers, and make their lives a bit easier.
What’s New?
The new user experience offers:
- A simpler domain addition process;
- An easier way to set primary domains via a dot menu;
- The ability to select and delete domains in bulk, if required.
A Simpler Domain Addition Process
With the new UI, the process of Domain addition has been simplified to a single button represented by the “Add Domain” option. Newly added domains will be listed as “Alias” under the primary one, which simply indicates that these are your additional domains.
Setting Primary Domains
Alias domains can be made Primary with a click. Simply click on the dot menu corresponding to that domain and set it as primary.
Domain Selection and Bulk Deletion
You are now able to view all domains under your application in a neat, single list. No matter the size of the list, users can now browse through domains, click to select and delete them in bulk if required.
The staging domain, xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxx.cloudwaysapps.com will also be listed among the other domain names, and you can set it as a primary domain. For safety purposes, you will not be able to delete this domain from the list.
The Future
This update forms the foundation for many more exciting changes planned for the next few months, which will further simplify domain management and other related services within the Cloudways Platform. Stay tuned!
